OUTLINE

We created “awahi magazine,” the owned media platform for Gifti, Inc., a company that offers services centered around e-gifts. At Torque, we were responsible for the site design and front-end development. Based on the concept of “awahi”—a term referring to the “space” between people, objects, and moments—we arranged a diverse range of articles using a layout with a sense of randomness. This design expresses a sense of expansiveness and depth that harmonizes with the content while allowing users to feel the passage of time and change. Furthermore, to ensure the experience of “reading text” remained unimpeded, we kept interactions to a minimum, aiming to create a sense of comfort similar to the feeling of getting lost in a magazine article.
